Hi! I'm Lynnette CennamiI am a mother of 2 amazing girls, and 2 beautiful grand kids.  My family history for breast cancer is strong. In 2011 when I started this I had 3 Aunts in remission, 1 aunt who lost her fight at 57, and  2 cousin who lost their battle at 37 a month apart. We have added my sister to this group. We don't carry your typical type of Breast cancer meaning, the doctor usually say it runs Maternal, ours is paternal. The genes that have been identified BRAC 1 &2,  we don't carry that either. None of my aunts or sisters did either but they still have breast cancer..
I am excited that one of my aunts is being asked to follow up with a geneticist to explore some other genetic traits, and This, This is why I am here!  I want to put a name to this type of cancer, a name  beyond Breast cancer. I want to tell my daughters this is the gene we carry! I want my daughter to know how to protect themselves, how to qualify for screenings, how exactly to  watch my grand babies for this
A gene gives preventive services. For me I know I will have breast cancer, what I don’t know is when. I'm ok with that. Because I will then qualify for More testing more answers, that may help the researchers. Over the past 7 years we, MY TEAM  with your help has raised at least 50, 000 dollars for Making Stride. This helps researchers and  programs,  like the advocates, hope lodge just to name a few. So again thank you,
Before I bring up my speaker,  I want you all to look at the people you are sitting with, most of you are married, have daughters, there are 8 or 10 of you at each table.  In 2017, an estimated 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 61,000 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer

Help us continue to fight the 1:8, help us raise more funds for research.
